Make Budgets Public NOW! Campaign in Senegal

OBI score: 10 out of 100

13 million Senegalese citizens do not have access to the Executive Budget Proposal nor the Audit Report.

Senegal, as well as other francophone African countries, lags behind when it comes to complying with the minimum standards of budget transparency. To accompany decision-makers to improve the Senegal’s OBI score and to advance the state of budget transparency, GERAD has launched the “Make Budgets Public NOW!”.

The main objective of this campaign is to mobilize the Senegalese civil society and media to persuade key decision-makers to publish and disseminate the Executive Budget Proposal and the Audit Report in a timely-fashion.
